Toronto Resto Recommendation

Factory Girl - Broadview/Danforth

Sitting on the western lip of Greektown on the Danforth lies Factory Girl, a relaxed and inviting gastropub serving mostly Italian fare and an air of classic rock and roll edge. The restaurant is named after the folk-rock tune by the Rolling Stones. The menu features some of the expected pub items like chicken wings, nachos, and calamari only done very well. They also prepare a variety of pastas, pizzas, entrées, fresh salads, and a scrumptious brunch menu on weekends. Thirsty patrons can choose from a wine list (featuring such names as Kenwood Vineyards in California and Cesari Amarone from Italy) or a full bar with beers and cider on tap. The restaurant has a sharp layout, with a cozy bar lounge area in the front that holds 70 guests and a separate dining room at the back of the building that seats 70. For the warmer months, there is also a12 seat patio facing Danforth Avenue and a 40 seat backyard patio. This is the ideal destination for groups to enjoy some great food and a drink (or several) in a sophisticated but welcoming atmosphere. Factory Girl is also a participant in both Winter- and Summerlicious.
