We are coming to the end of blackberry season. Aside from noshing, these dark treasures are great for topping fresh on desserts or as conserves, compotes, cakes, crumbles and hundreds of other sweet indulgences. For a savoury twist you could make a blackberry-balsamic marinade for lamb, chicken or fish.
