My sixth National Post feature

What do you know! My beetroot and blood orange salad was featured in the Gastropost section of the National Post newspaper yesterday. Gastropost is made up of a team of editors who assign a weekly theme for the Saturday paper. Anybody who participates can tag them in a food photo that fits the theme for a chance to be printed. Only a select few are chosen. It's always so exciting to be featured. While you don't necessarily have to cook the dish yourself, it does entice many home cooks and professional chefs alike to submit their own creations.

This week's theme was bitter, which is represented in this dish by the dandelion greens. I'd like to extend a big thank you to the National Post for choosing my salad this week.

Stay tuned because shortly I will post photos and share some stories of a cooking challenge I did with my aunt this weekend. It's usually a semi-annual event but we didn't get around to it last summer among the business of my cousin's wedding. It was a lot of fun and we ended up with some fantastic dishes. As usual there were a couple of unintended goof ups that were worth a few laughs. You won't want to miss it.

Happy Easter everybody!
