Herb Garden 2014

Herb Garden 2014 is in full effect!

Planted some mint, Genovese basil, purple basil, Thai basil, Italian parsley, Greek oregano, rosemary, sage and thyme. No cilantro this year. My neighbour and I both tried growing it for the last 2-3 years and found it too high maintenance. Cilantro flowers and releases seeds so rapidly and successfully (thus ending its life cycle) that it was such a hassle trying to keep the damn thing alive. Ain't nobody got time for dat this year.

Oh, and for fun I planted a scotch bonnet plant too. Should make for some beautifully spicy dishes this summer. Yum!!
